Soaking in warm mineral mud — the one relaxation Nha Trang made its own
The experience that defines Nha Trang tourism after the beach itself
Recovery after days of walking and climbing
A handsome mineral garden with pools — works for the whole family
Wear dark swimwear — mud can faintly stain light fabric; book the package online for a better rate, and follow the guidance of twenty minutes maximum per soak.
Mud bathing is the relaxation Nha Trang has turned into a complete tourist experience, which almost nowhere else in Vietnam has: you soak in a tub of warm, silky mineral mud, then shower in hot mineral water, sit in a herbal bath, and finish in a pool set in a tropical garden. The best-known places — I-Resort, Trăm Trứng, Tháp Bà Spa — are all ten to fifteen minutes from the centre.
Half a day of this is the perfect recovery in the middle of a packed trip: skin soft, body weightless, and a separate pool for the children. The local trick is to go on a weekday morning, when it is both quiet and at its cheapest package rate.
Come to Nha Trang without eating gỏi cá mai and the trip is not complete
One family, one recipe, nearly 50 years. Fish landed that morning, rolled in rice paper and dipped in a secret fish sauce — the same taste since 1977.
