Ba Hồ Stream

A trek up a rocky stream to three green pools in the forest — light adventure near town

Stream trekMorningLight adventure

Why go to Ba Hồ Stream

  1. The only trek-and-swim close to the centre

  2. Three stepped pools — higher means prettier and emptier

  3. The cheapest ticket among the paid experiences

Wear shoes with grip, not flip-flops, and bring a waterproof bag for your phone; after heavy rain the rock is slippery — leave it for another day.

About Ba Hồ Stream

Ba Hồ is a stream rising on Hòn Sơn peak that drops through three natural pools stepped down the forest. From the gate a path follows the water for about forty minutes — some scrambling over rock, some hauling on a rope — up to the first, second and third pool; the higher you go the greener the water and the fewer the people.

This is the rare bit of light adventure close to Nha Trang: enough sweat to feel earned, safe enough for a first-time trekker, and the reward is jumping into cold forest water. Fit young groups go in the morning and are back in the city in time for a seafood lunch.

Come to Nha Trang without eating gỏi cá mai and the trip is not complete

One family, one recipe, nearly 50 years. Fish landed that morning, rolled in rice paper and dipped in a secret fish sauce — the same taste since 1977.
