Parasailing 35 m above the bay, jet skis, banana boats — the city's shot of adrenaline
The whole of Nha Trang bay from 35 metres up — a rare view
Everything from adrenaline to gentle, so the whole group is covered
Available right on the central beach, no distant tour needed
Mornings have the calmest sea and steadiest wind; pick an operator with proper life jackets and a rescue boat, and settle the price and the length of the ride before you get on.
Nha Trang is one of the best places in Vietnam for water sports: a speedboat tows a parasail up to around 35 metres and pulls you nearly a kilometre across the bay — the blue water, Hòn Tằm, Hòn Miễu and the curve of the city along the sand all laid out under your feet. Flying over a bay like this is worth every đồng.
Beyond parasailing there is the whole range: jet skis over the swell, a banana boat that tips everyone off laughing, and kayaks and SUPs for those who prefer it calm. The reputable operators cluster on Trần Phú beach and on Hòn Tằm island — larger groups should combine several activities for a better rate.
Come to Nha Trang without eating gỏi cá mai and the trip is not complete
One family, one recipe, nearly 50 years. Fish landed that morning, rolled in rice paper and dipped in a secret fish sauce — the same taste since 1977.
