On Hòn Miễu, the island nearest the shore in Nha Trang bay, stands one of the strangest buildings on this coast: an aquarium built in the shape of an ancient ship run aground and turned to stone, with tanks inside holding hundreds of marine species, from sharks and sea turtles to living coral. The weathered ghost-ship architecture makes a backdrop you will not mistake for anywhere else.
The crossing takes only twenty minutes, and you can pair it with Bãi Tranh on the same island for an unhurried half-day: the aquarium in the morning, a swim off the rocky beach at midday. Compared with the far-island tours, Trí Nguyên is the gentle option — for families with older relatives, or for a day when the sea is too rough for Hòn Mun.
